"Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church" I Corinthians 14:12
You would be surprised to know how many people there are who never focus on a goal.
The difference between the masterful and the mediocre is often a focused effort. A person's goals must be set on the basis of his ability to cultivate talents and his agility in provoking a change.
Have you decided to roll up your sleeves and go to work?
Remember, effort is the bridge between medicrity and masterful accomplishment!
Multible talents can also be a source of confusion. People who are effective at only one thing have little to decide. Let's distinguish between talent and purpose. You may have within you a multiplicity of talent. But if the Holy Spirit gives no direction in that area, it will not be effective. Are you called to the area in which you feel talented? Consider this verse: "and we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose". So then, you are called according to His purpose and not your talents! You should have a sense of purpose in your ministry and not just talent!
